Virginia Tech’s Executive Master of Natural Resources (XMNR) program combines the best of online and in-person education in an accelerated one-year, hybrid graduate degree program emphasizing systems leadership and innovation for sustainable development, climate resilience, environmental justice, circular economy, and related topics. Each year, we recruit a diverse cohort of professionals with experience from business, government, and non-profit sectors. We focus on personal growth and societal transformation. We build the capacity of individuals to work in teams, organizations, and networks to lead change at local to global scales. We emphasize experiential learning and focus on the professional development and career goals of individual students via peer-to-peer mentoring, small group learning, and one-on-one coaching.
